Foreca takes the privacy of its business customers very seriously. Any personal information we obtain regarding Foreca professional services will be dealt with in accordance with this policy. We comply fully with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This privacy policy concerns you if you are, or you potentially could be, a business customer, partner, or user of Foreca professional services within the EU. What is personal data?
The GDPR applies to personal data. This is any information that can directly or indirectly identify a natural person, like you.
Foreca's rights to obtain your personal data
Foreca has a lawful basis for processing your personal data according to the GDPR. Foreca fulfils the lawful basis either by asking for direct consent from you or by making the service agreement between Foreca and the company you are working for. We ask for direct consent for the marketing or sales purposes if we have no service agreement made with your company. According to legitimate interests, and freedom of trade, we have a right to obtain prospective customer/partner information related to business, and business representatives.
How and why we obtain your personal data
We need to obtain some personal data in order to be able to serve you and to always provide the best possible user and customer experience. Depending on the case, the data may include your name, phone number, email address, IP address, location data, online behavior (cookies), analytics data or similar general information about you.
Foreca does not need, or collect on purpose, any sensitive data, like your race, health information, or something to that extent. Neither do we collect any other personal data if we don't have the lawful basis and relevant need for the data to serve you or do business with you.
We may collect personal data in the four following ways depending on the case:
1) We collect the personal data provided by you
We may collect your personal data you provide us, for instance, in the following ways: you fill out our web forms, like contact forms, feedback forms, or other general web forms; you send us an email; you give us a business card or oral information in the meetings, calls or events; you participate in our surveys, researches, or competitions online or offline.
2) We use cookies in our websites and online services
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
We use cookies for tracking website behavior and analytics to improve the user experience in the corporate.foreca.com website. We also use cookies in our professional online services, like vip.foreca.com, Foreca MDSS, and online-demo interfaces, to improve the quality of our services by storing user preferences and tracking user trends.
3) Information received to perform the service according to the service agreements made with our business customers and partners
We collect the personal information provided in the service agreements, in their appendixes, during the service use, and in data the flows, like API calls, that are necessary to perform the service.
If you use the locate feature in the service, Foreca receives your location coordinates (in the accuracy your device has it). Location data is only used to provide weather data for your location, and it will not be saved. We may also collect the IP address of your device. The IP address is used to track and fix problems you experienced in the service if you have given us feedback and track the possible misuse of service.
4) Information provided in public services
We may collect your personal data, especially contact information, from your corporate website, internet, media, social media, or other public services, if we need information for contacting you or for other mutual business purposes.
How do we manage your personal information
Foreca obtains your personal information confidentially ensuring appropriate security. We only store the information that is relevant to provide the service for you, and we will remove all outdated or irrelevant information after a reasonable amount of time. Foreca will not share your personal information to 3rd parties, and mainly will not manage your personal information outside the EU, except the anonymized web analytics data which may be delivered to 3rd parties outside the EU without the possibility to identify a unique user. If we process personal data in systems outside the EU, we ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data by ensuring that the system vendor complies with EU requirements in accordance with the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as a lawful transfer mechanism for personal data transferred outside of the EU, Switzerland or the UK.
Your rights to view, change or remove your personal data
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
